Chia Seeds

Chia is a plant from the mint family. This plant produces the edible chia seeds that have grown in popularity as a highly nutritious culinary ingredient. Chia seeds can also be grown in pots as plants or eaten in raw form as they are high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. 
Fresh chia leaves can be used as a salad bedding, in stir fries, and in green smoothies. Raw or dried chia leaves steeped in hot water and sweetened with honey makes a fantastic therapeutic tea.
