Golden Globe Turnip Seeds
Golden Globe Turnip is one of the best late cropping turnip varieties available maintaining its excellent mild, nutty and firm texture well into the winter without becoming woody.
Golden Globe Turnip has Scottish origins that date back to the 1850's. It is a firm crisp golden orange type turnip with a crisp slightly sweet flavor that goes good in any recipe. It can be eaten raw or cooked and make a great mash potato like dish. They can grow to about 3 to 5 inches and plants get to around 2 feet tall.
Because turnip seeds are direct sown in the garden, preparing your soil early in the planning process is essential. Poor soil can negatively affect the flavor, quality and growth of the turnips so be sure to use high quality soil that is soft and loamy.
