Mulato Isleno Pepper is similar to Ancho Peppers but is slightly longer, fatter, and sweeter. A dark green pepper that matures to a rich chocolate brown, the Mulato Isleno Pepper can be used in both the immature and mature stage, excellent for salsa, roasting, stuffing and drying. It is perfect for chile rellenos, salsa and mole.
It is often described to have slight flavors of chocolate and licorice.
