Red Giant Mustard Green Seeds produce bold, flavorful greens with stunning visual appeal. This fast-growing heirloom variety is known for its large, crinkled leaves in deep reddish-purple with bright green veins, bringing vibrant color and spicy, mustardy flavor to salads, sautés, and stir-fries. The young leaves have a milder taste, while mature leaves develop a more intense, peppery bite—perfect for adding character to any dish.

Red Giant mustard greens mature in just 35 to 50 days, making them a great choice for spring and fall planting. For direct sowing, plant seeds ¼ inch deep in well-drained soil as soon as the ground can be worked in early spring or in late summer for a fall crop. Thin or transplant seedlings to 12–18 inches apart once they have 2–3 true leaves, allowing room for the large, leafy growth. For an early start, seeds can be started indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost and transplanted after hardening off once outdoor temperatures remain above 40°F.

Tolerant of light frosts and even enhanced in flavor by cooler weather, Red Giant is ideal for succession planting and a favorite among home gardeners and chefs alike.
